After visiting Bali in 2005 and returning in 2010, this place still rests in our heart.

From the people to the indulgent scenery.

Bali really has a lot to offer from Honeymoon sandy beaches, to Adventurers Jungles, Backpackers hidden spots.

We start with TanahLot - Nirwana Golf Resort which is no longer in operation however is now known as Be Villas Nirwana Resort #BevillasTanahLot which seems much more reasonable.

Fast forward to 2010 - pit spot was The Laguna Luxury Collection Bali - Nusa Dua..... THIS resort is made for honeymooners! Everything single thing about it screams luxury. The rooms over look the hotels numerous lagoon pools. The main pool symbolizes a beach with a waterfall to boot! But, you only need to walk a few steps before your on Nusa Dua Beach. This resort we just couldn't fault, the Food the ambiance and the staff. Definitely on our TOP PICK list.

Things to do in Bali

  • MOUNT BATUR - We visited this site which is breathtaking and if your lucky to will get to see the puffs of smoke it expels every so many hours. - Our driver took us to a local Balinese restaurant where the view overlooks the volcano.

  • GILI ISLANDS - Try and make the effort of visiting the Gili Islands! besides the incredible snorkelling, diving. These Islands have a lot to offer for such a tiny place - however accomodation is abundant - From backpackers lodges to private hotels, research your budget as there is much to offer. You can walk around these islands in approx 1 - 2 hours depending on your pace, that said! you can hire bikes to make the journey more suited but make sure you bring a lock!!! There a number of bars on the island so drinking and partying does come part and parcel with this place however you can make the experience as chilled as you prefer.

  • SEMINYAK - A popular tourist spot with stylish hotels and restaurants, lots of beach front restaurants that serve fresh fish! Some of these spots don't look so hygienic but most definitely are clean and highly recommended especially for the authentic taste of Bali, we choose the spot with the most people - go figure!

  • UBUD - This is place is the JUNGLE - The authentic nature of Bali - from the ancient temples, the sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, the unless rice paddies views, you can visit the majestic Palace or try watching the traditional Balinese Dance.
